Product Description Instant read 0 F to 220 F. Shatterproof plastic lens. Exclusive Safe T Set recalibration feature. Convenient pocket case. Durable stainless steel stem. NSF approved.
Amazon.com Review This thermometer instantly ascertains the temperature of foods, whether they're on the buffet line or being cooked. Its 1-inch dial, protected by a shatterproof plastic lens, displays temperatures from 0 to 220 degrees F. The thermometer comes with a pocket case and has a 5-inch stainless-steel stem. Should it seem to be off kilter, the thermometer can be recalibrated by twisting the hexagonal hub beneath the dial with pliers. --Fred Brack

not for me February 23, 2010 Rick (SF Bay Area) Lens is plastic, I did not take that to mean that it was not oven safe, maybe poor assumption on my part. "Instant" read? Not quite so instant. I'll not pursue a refund, not enough money to justify the hassle.
Does what it says! February 14, 2010 Nathaniel D. Buckner (Chicago, IL) Its adjustable, works well, well made and accurate providing you've calibrated it correctly (a very easy process).
I wish it had a clip to clip to the side of a pot but it doesn't so I had to make my own!
No more cutting to see if its done February 9, 2010 rockerZ71 (Lawrenceville, Georgia) I got this for cooking steaks but I use it just about any time I am cooking meat. Only problem is it takes maybe 30 seconds for the gauge to climb to the temperature
Smaller than I thought it would be. January 4, 2010 J. Rogers (San Diego) Overall pretty accurate. Don't rely on the picture to guess how big it is though. Can't be more than 5 inches long, so if you are using it for anything other than meat temps it may not be enough.
Feels cheap and the dial can be difficult to read. But it does the job at a cheap price.

I ordered this for a Christmas gift. All I can say at this point is that it was delivered fast, package nicely and I'm sure it'll work just fine.
