Product Description Polar Chest Strap and Transmitters sold as a set.
Amazon.com Product Description Slim, lightweight, and completely waterproof, the Polar T31 non-coded transmitter and belt set accurately transmits your heart rate data to your Polar wrist-top computer. As a result, it's easy to monitor your heart rate during training runs. This version of the T31 is non-coded. If you're concerned about crosstalk from other electronic devices, Polar sells a coded version of the T31 as well. The transmitter belt--which works with all current Polar wrist-top computers except the CS600 and RS800--includes a sealed transmitter and elastic strap. About Polar The first EKG accurate wireless heart rate monitor was invented by Polar back in 1977 as a training tool for the Finnish National Cross Country Ski Team. The concept of "intensity training" by heart rate swept the athletic world in the eighties. By the 1990s, individuals were looking to heart rate monitors not only for performance training needs, but also for achieving everyday fitness goals. Today, the same concept of heart rate training is being used by world-class athletes as well as everyday people trying to lose weight. Polar is the leading brand among consumers, coaches, and personal trainers worldwide and the company is committed to not only producing the best products, but also being the leading educator on the benefits of heart rate based exercise.

Great product February 6, 2010 csaggie (Aggieland, Texas) I have had two of these, and they have lasted years with moderate use. I am just now replacing my first one that is probably five years old. I love that these work with precor and other brands of exercise equipment. Also, these coupled with a polar hrm watch give a very accurate count on how many calories you've burned during a workout.
One of the best products I've purchased.
Polar cardio monitoring exercise belt September 16, 2009 Mark Blumenfeld (New York) Belt arrived quickly in perfect condition and has been functioning well since. Using it with a Trimline treadmill replacing the Polar belt that came with it 7 years ago.
Ridiculous that when battery goes dead, you're done. September 14, 2009 G. W. Evans 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a fantastic and useful product that I will never buy again. There is an inexcusable flaw. The battery lasted just over a year of light use. We then learned that it cannot be replaced! Not only does Polar lie that it can last 2-5 years, they want you to buy the product again. Excellent product ruined by unacceptable ethics.
Highly recomended September 11, 2009 David J. Westlind 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product works wonderfuly, When it dies I will purchase the same one. I like this band rather than the other style so I highly recomend it.
It does the job June 7, 2009 Graeme Payne (Lilburn, GA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this product to replace a very old one that showed symptoms of the battery finally dying. The replacement sensor works with my old Polar watch, and most importantly it works with my model WM100 Oregon Scientific SmartSync Heart Rate Logger with PC Download. The only downside is that it comes packaged with a size Medium elastic strap, which is useless to me because I still have to use a size Large at its maximum length. Good product that performs its function as designed.
Note: according to the manufacturer (Polar) the battery is theoretically not replaceable and therefore the whole sensor strap must be thrown away. I plan to dust of my old miniature electronic equipment repair skills to see what I can find in there, and if I am lucky I may be able to salvage the old one. An environmentally friendly improvement for Polar would be to redesign it with a replaceable battery. The logo sticker on the front eventually peels off anyway, so that would be a good place to start.
