 Issues with enough heat April 30, 2010

I intend to solder some components on PCB boards but this things barely heats up, even after waiting for very long time. The solder does not melt.
I have used Weller before but this model is certainly not recommendable, good for the garbage bin.

Not sure why others have had problems. This iron heats up and is ready to go in about 60 seconds. Seems well built and I like the extra tips that came in the set. Dont much care for the stand included, but I always use the holder on my 'third hand' soldering helper anyway. I use rosin core 60/40 solder and have had great fast results. would definately recomend.

This iron works well. I don't know why there are bad reviews. Perhaps people aren't tinning thier tips?

It seems like this product is hit or miss. I am using it for electronic work and it barely melts the solder (if it even does!). I cannot recommend this product as I am going to go return it and find another tool to replace it.

I want to say WOW... I absolutely recommend this, I normally make a mess when soldering with the cheap sh.. they sell over here, but with this I made a clean solder with absolutely no problems on a very tiny device. Simply perfect. No complaints, I dont know why are you reading this... just buy it.
