I ordered this item to replace a previous one from a differenct mfgr. I gave that one to family members who were moving. The first time I tried to use this cart a plastic part broke off. I'm trying to locate the mfgr so I can arrange to return the item.
plastic parts on wheels December 25, 2009

With in a year, the gear parts on the wheel were shredded. I bought this because of the easy storage. And it was easy to store! I don't need it often, but when I do, it is used for moving refridgerators, stoves and washing machines. The light weight part of this hand truck was fantastic. I would not have bought this had I known the geers were plastic. It did not survive a gravel road. I am now buying something that does not fold up for the work load I need it too carry.
My fault for buying something that had plastic parts. So if you need something for a rougher terrain. This is not what you want.

For hauling our portable sound system into gigs, we've found this little hand truck very useful. Folds down flat for easy storage & doesn't take up any vital vehicle space. The only thing I would change is to have the pull up handle LOCK into place, like most of the airport rolling bags you see. Otherwise a good investment for our band.

I really like the fold-up convenience of the Magna Cart Elite 2 because it stores easily in my car,truck,or a closet...nice for loading 2 cases of soda/beer and maybe a item on top to bring into my house..it does not seem strong enough for a full 200 pounds...
NO problem going up a few steps to my house..I am 6 foot, 1 inch tall and have no problem using it...Expanding the hand truck is as easy as pressing the yellow button, sliding the handle all the way up, and then pushing the foot out and down. To collapse the hand truck, just follow these same directions in reverse.
