4 out of 5 stars Magna Cart Ideal Hand Truck Review   August 10, 2009
Sheila C. (Nashville, TN)
As a freelance courier, the Magna Cart Ideal Hand Truck has been a lifesaver (or at least a backsaver) on many occasions. It will hold up to 150 pounds, is lightweight, easy to open up for use (simply hold it on the ground, push the platform down with your foot, and the wheels automatically unfold along with the rest of it) and collapses for storage in your vehicle just as easily.

It has a convenient handle that telescopes for use, and collapses for storage.

The only issue I have with the Magna Cart is that the handle isn't long enough. You have to bend over slightly in order to pull it, and that can be painful on your back. It should either have a longer handle, or have another handle included in it that enables you to extend that handle even farther than the first one. Otherwise, it's a great product!

5 out of 5 stars Best Handtruck for the price.   July 15, 2009

2 out of 5 stars i abused it but it broke   July 12, 2009

i used it to bring a 231 lb washing mashine down to my basement. the bottom plate of the cart broke off, and the handle bent and sent the machine flying down. i wouldn't have used this thing initially but my neighbor lent it to me and said don't worry about breaking it. well where it broke you can see the metal is very cheap! the cross section looks like grey dust with a chrome facade! even though i abused it (the specs say 150 lb limit) i think the materials are very poor.
